At our organization, we understand the importance of empowering women not only within the Village Women's Groups (VWG) but also among other community members for socio-political empowerment. To date, we have successfully trained 3202 women, both VWG and non-VWG members, in leadership skills, aiming to create a ripple effect of empowered women who can bring about positive change in their communities. In our efforts to promote women's leadership, we recognized the significance of engaging with family members as well. After the selection process for potential women leaders (PWLs) was completed, we conducted interactive programs with their family members. The purpose of these programs was to foster understanding and gain the support of the families in championing the PWLs' aspirations. We firmly believe that with the backing and encouragement of their families, the PWLs would be able to actively participate in the program and effectively fulfill their roles as emerging women leaders. To equip the selected PWLs with the necessary skills and knowledge, we provided them with comprehensive training in various areas. This training encompassed leadership development, emcee skills, civic education, and good governance. By enhancing their leadership abilities and providing them with a solid foundation in civic engagement and governance, we aimed to empower these women to become catalysts for positive socio-political change within their communities. Through our holistic approach to socio-political empowerment, we are nurturing a generation of strong women leaders who will drive inclusive and effective governance, foster community development, and advocate for the rights and welfare of women.
