Ongoing Programs

Women and Climate Change

'Women and Climate Change' is a program that aims to raise awareness of climate change and encourage women to cope and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

Rural Women Leadership Program

We have conducted health camps in the districts of Kavrepalanchok and Lalitput with financial and technical support of Rotary Club of Kathmandu and Ama Chhori Foundation.

Past Programs

Single Women Project

221 Single women from 3 rural districts were the beneficiaries of this program that aimed to promote self dependency. We worked with Human Rights Protection & Legal Service Center (HRPLSC) and Human Rights and Rural Development Society (HRARDS)

Youth Program

We have trained 210 youths on Leadership, Appreciative Inquiry and Alternative to Violence Training. The objective of the program was to develop leadership skills, build confidence and engage in collective action to promote social justice and equality by providing them a platform to express their ideas and concern.

School Campaign

A total of 3113 boys and girls were benefited from Gender Sensitization Training and Training on gender based violence.

Covid-19

Relief worth: Rs. 28,24,366

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the lives of women and their families were highly affected in our working areas due to which the majority of people faced difficulty in livelihood and lacked basic food supplies for their family and children. MSBKN along with the funding support of TMF have provided basic food relief to 441 Women and nutritional food relief to 238 COVID infected women and families.

In addition to this, MSBKN was able to supply necessary health materials to the 43 local health posts and hospitals in the working district through local level government officials.
