72 Rural Women Trained by MSBKN Elected as Local Leaders

In the Nepalese Legislative Election of 2017, the impactful work of MSBKN bore fruit as 72 rural women, who had received training from our organization, emerged victorious. Among them, 2 remarkable women were elected as Deputy Mayors, while an impressive 70 women assumed positions as Women Ward Members. This outstanding achievement stands as a testament to the dedication and empowerment fostered through our programs.

Moreover, in the recent local election held on Baisakh 30th of 2079 (May 13, 2022), a total of 322 women courageously put forth their candidacy. As beneficiaries of our program and members of the Village Women's Group from our 12 working districts, these women showcased their resilience and determination. As a result, 94 exceptional women were elected as Ward Members, and one trailblazing woman secured the esteemed position of Deputy Mayor.
